We built a bilingual, fully pre-rendered website for a Salvadoran hospitality company on the coast where Bitcoin first became everyday money.
— About the project
Gracias Bitcoin owns and rents out oceanfront residences in El Zonte, El Salvador. The company needed a calm, credible presence in English and Spanish: who they are, why the name, which properties they hold and how to reach them. We took a design prototype and turned it into a production site that loads fast and reads well on any screen.
The hero is a small animated landscape drawn entirely in SVG: volcanoes, a rising ocean, a surfer by day and a shark fin by night, under a sky that moves through a full day. Scrolling drives a two-phase parallax. The crest and lettering were extracted from the original vector artwork rather than traced from bitmaps, so they stay sharp at every size.
Every page is rendered to static HTML at build time and then hydrated by React, so the full content is present without JavaScript. English and Spanish live at separate URLs with proper hreflang links, and the fonts are self-hosted. We also designed matching print business cards with the same El Zonte landscape.
