Karine Studio
We built a single system that serves as the studio's public website, its course booking desk and its back office.
— About the project
Malatelier Nürnberg runs painting and creative courses for children and adults, individual coaching and small group formats. We replaced the studio's previous site with one application that lives at the root of the domain: a course catalogue organised by category, dated sessions with live seat counts, a cart, and a checkout that turns several bookings into one order.
Behind the public pages sits an admin area built around the studio's daily routine: courses and sessions, orders and refunds, enquiries, a free consultation calendar with configurable availability, and editable pages, gallery, FAQ and navigation. Bookings are mirrored to the studio's Google Calendar, and busy times from that calendar are taken into account when consultation slots are offered.
The site is server-rendered with Nuxt, backed by a separate Express API and PostgreSQL. The German and Russian texts are written by hand rather than machine-translated. Order and cancellation logic is covered by unit, integration and end-to-end tests, with mutation testing for the most sensitive rules. The system is currently in public beta.
